Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson – The Most Astounding Fact of the Universe

Astrophysicist Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson was asked by a reader of TIME magazine, “What is the most astounding fact you can share with us about the Universe?” This is his answer.

This could be a magnificent church sermon… or simply a message to spread. And while he does not use the term ‘spiritual’, this is an incredibly spiritual message to me. If we come come to believe that all of this cosmic dust, all of these atoms are sacred sourcing from the Great Mystery. And then Earth Mother has brought these atoms and molecules together into life and evolution on our glorious planet (with the help of the Great Mystery)… whoa. Then we’d really be celebrating life and turning the current chaos around. Oh, yeah!
