It’s my goal to transfer all my other old blog entries from my old blog site (at Go Daddy – not user friendly) in the next few days.
But here’s a post from today. It’s cold, windy outside. I can hear my chimes singing at this late hour of 10:59pm. My eyes are bleary from transferring databases to a new software. This is all catch-up work from having my computer stolen on 12/27/08. Getting to the final pieces of catch-up.
Ruminations this week are on what are the deeper reasons that I left the Catholic Church, other than the fear and guilt mongering that the Catholic Church promotes… My deepest gut thoughts are that I was always called to connect with Earth Mother and seek out a sense of a Creator whom is present in all around us, without judgment, without anger. So far from the Christian God version.
I’m also ruminating on the beauty of Andy Goldsworthy’s work. Just watched Rivers and Tides, the documentary on him on Sunday pm. I don’t want to return it to Blockbuster On-Line. The artist is so profound in his collecting natural materials to shift our perception and stun us with art. Check out: http://www.morning-earth.org/ARTISTNATURALISTS/AN_Goldsworthy.html. The man is so inspiring… and really speaks to me and my love of solitude in nature.
