Sacred Gardening Workshop – Report

[originally written 10/28/08]

After writing that last blog, I realized that there was a gap since I had not written any report on my Sacred Gardening workshop from Oct. 12th. In short, the workshop went well. There were 10 participants and it was a stunning warm, October day. The “Lunch with a Tree” activity seemed to really touch most of the people, which was a goal for the wksp. I hoped that people would feel or experience something out of the norm that would convey that the tree was aware and conscious of them too. I know that the plant community and nature energies are so aware of us, yet how to convey that? But some people were very shifted after lunching with a tree – it was powerful.

One of the attendees emailed me afterwards and noted that it seemed that my workshop was actually two workshops. The morning session was about The Great Turning and the afternoon was about Sacred Gardening. I had heard the term “The Great Turning” before but was not exactly sure what it meant, so this woman (she’s also a friend) directed me to the following websites:

Very interesting reading!
