The Dentist Limerick Series
She sat full of angst at the dentist.
She could barely say a sentence.
The drill would soon come,
Which was not any fun.
To all the sugar and chips she paid penance.
The dentist was her least favorite place.
She sat with a frown on her face.
She was born with soft teeth,
And ate too much beef.
She wanted to pull out her mace.
The dentist office is so sweet.
To visit them is no feat.
Except for that needle,
Which makes me squeedle
To the door, I’m gonna beat.
The dentist office has some crowns,
But not for any royal clowns.
I wish my teeth were plastic
A non-decay elastic
Cuz laying here ain’t so profound.
I’m feeling very numbed
Hopefully not too dumbed.
The dentist has lurked.
I did not shirk.
My poor mouth is very bummed.
It’s the needle that does it.
Then the drill that goes buzzit
What’s with these teeth
So soft as a leaf?
Might as well be perforated fuzzits.
The view out the window is nice.
A lovely neighborhood slice.
While I wait in kind
For a new crown to mine.
I guess this is better than headlice.
So the visit is now over.
Time for me to recover.
But I’m still numb.
Could suck on my thumb.
Sigh, and cause the orthodontist to hover!
