I have been dialoguing with a woman named Jamie K. Reaser on Facebook. Just in the past two days, Jamie has been sharing some poetry and I’m astounded at her gifts and prowess with the poet’s pen (keyboard, these days, I suppose).
In any case. All I know is that I have to share her here and some links to some recent poems and hope that others discover her soon. She has a book of poetry coming out this summer. (And I have a book that should be being worked on in this very moment too… too many good distractions!)
From Jamie’s website:
TALKING WATERS explores and celebrates the ripples, rapids, rush, and gentle flow of Life. The images and verse are inspired by Nature and the nature of what it is to be human during this challenging, yet magical time of the Great Turning. — Most of the poems from 2010 and early 2011 have been collected into the book, “Note to Self: Poems for Changing the World from the Inside Out.” (www.hirathpress.com) — The collection – “Sacred Reciprocity: Courting the Beloved in Everyday Life” – is a work in progress to be released in mid 2012. — The author can be reached at ecoslists@nelsoncable.com — Follow this blog by becoming a fan on the Talking Waters Facebook page.
