There is a photographer in Baltimore named Tim Dicke. He posts a photo everyday to a large listserv. This is a solid discipline for anyone who knows about trying to do something everyday, without a break. Other than eating and visiting the bathroom. And hopefully sleeping.
So, several days ago, Tim posted this photo from his travels out in the Shenandoah Valley parts of VA.
He posted this message with it:
Have passed by many times, finally stopped. Had over 50 dinosaurs and other animals. Place was pretty crowded. Many really bad dinosaurs, to follow over the months. Very 1960’s.
I chuckled at his comment: “really bad dinosaurs.” And emailed him back that I was looking forward to more “really bad dinosaurs.”
Tim held back for a few days though and posted this photo instead.
With this comment attached to the photo:
More giant people from Unger, WV. From left to right: Brian; “Beach Dude”, Uniroyal Gal; no name, Muffler Man; no name but 25 feet tall, and Big John; “Bag Boy”. I am glad someone is saving them, for all to enjoy.
I don’t remember any other giant people photos but did appreciate these though. It’s fun to read the signs that this person has collected too. :~) Not sure I’d want any of these in my own yard though. On the other hand, they would be fun to dress up for Halloween. Here’s more info on this tourist destination spot in WV called the Farnham Colossi.
So this morning I opened up Tim’s photo and message from last night.
This is just the back side of Dinosaur Land. It gives an idea of how many of them are there. Most are trying to eat each other.
Well, let’s just say that I can barely type this right now since I’m still laughing so hard. Truth be told, it does not look as if those dinosaurs are moving that fast to catch another dinosaur to try to eat it. I would like to bring the dinosaurs and Big People together and let them have a good romp. Or maybe the dinosaurs would like to order from the guy with the grocery bags?
Maybe I need to move to an area where I can have these friends all together in my back yard. Should be better than watching the news these days. Especially the political shenanigans.
ps. if anyone wants to go to Dinosaur Land, check this link. What better way to spend our time waiting for the apocalypse. ;~)
